KARÇİMSA ÇİMENTO SAN. VE TİC. A.Ş.

KARÇİMSA AND ITS ACTIVITIES;
Karçimsa was founded with the objective of fulfilling regional requirements by utilizing the slag waste product of Karabük Steel Company (Kardemir) and to contribute to the national economy. The facility was projected with an annual capacity of 200,000 tons. The company was founded on 23 May 1996 with “Akçansa Çimento Sanayıi ve Ticaret A.Ş.” holding 51 % and “Kardemir Demir Çelik Sanayi ve Tic. A.Ş.” 49 % of the shares, and cement production started on 12 March 1998.

At Karçimsa facilities, the clinker purchased from Akçansa is ground together with the blast furnace slag acquired from Kardemir to produce CÇ 42.5 Slag Cement. Even though the annual capacity of the facility has been designed as 200,000 tons, increasing this capacity twice fold is possible by choosing the appropriate production variants.
