TS-EN-ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System
Procedures and principles of TS EN ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System
are being diligently implemented at all levels of Akçansa Çimento Sanayii T.A.Ş.-
Büyükçekmece Facilities, since 1995. Concrete objectives have been designated
for each process and every production step for this purpose. As declared in
the Company Quality Policy, customer satisfaction is essential and improvement
in each process is aimed at.

BS-EN-ISO 14001
Environmental Management System
Büyükçekmece Plant of AKÇANSA Çimento Sanayi has been implementing the requirements
of ISO 14001 Environmental Management System since February 2003, as the first
cement plant to receive a certificate from a foreign standard certifying body.
Primary objective has been set as to avoid producing wastes, to prevent wastes
from polluting air, waters and soil, to recover wastes and to conform to the
legal requirements |

BS-18001 Occupational
Health and Safety Management System (OHSAS 18001)
BS Standard - OHSAS 18001 Certificate was received from the British Standard
Institute (BSI) in April 2004. The subject Management System rests on the principle
that procedures should be continuously improved so as to conduct researches
on the production process to improve its effects of on individual health and
work safety, to conserve resources and to avoid accidents.
Creating a healthy and safe working environment for himself/herself and
to sustain its effectiveness is the personal responsibility of every working
individual. The key objective of the Company is to secure that all work
sites within the Plant conform to laws and regulations, are healthy and
safe; and avoid the workforce from any risks that may arise in connection
with the work to be carried out. |
OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety
Management System has been established in order to sustain and improve works
concerning all these issues and function. |
