The war of the Dardanelles is taken up for the first time from a humanitarian perspective...

Akçansa, the sponsor of the “Gallipoli” documentary safeguards our cultural and historical values. The Gallipoli peninsula, now the land home of peace and friendship had once witnessed the death of hundreds of thousands courageous young man. The exceptional struggle the heroes of this war, which is acknowledged as the “War of Gallants” in history, gave against the cold face of death is thus being handed over to the future generations so that it will never be forgotten. The project, realized under Akçansa’s leadership will set a model for many similar projects in Turkey and abroad.

The “Gallipoli” documentary is directed by Tolga Örnek, one of the young and gifted directors of the Turkish cinema. The film is scheduled to premier on the 90th anniversary of the Dardanelles War, ie. March 18th. Akçansa, having displayed a successful sponsorship management, aims to maintain that this valuable work of art reaches crowds and contributes to the promotion of Turkey through special activities it will organize in Turkey and abroad in line with the premier.

250 children in need of safeguarding are waiting for help

In addition to the practice kitchen built last year for orphan children; under the structure of the T.R. Prime Ministry Social Services and Society for the Protection of Children, Çanakkale Municipality Directorate; Akçansa Cement is also contributing to the kindergarten, to be built for children aged between 7-12, with furnitures produced in its own premises. Akçansa is putting forth efforts to enable our children to whom we will delegate our future to be raised in more modern conditions.

The Municipality Social Services Directorate is serving around 250 children in need of safeguarding in 3 bringing up homes and 1 kindergarten.
